וַתֹּאמֶר לֹו אֲדֹנִי אַתָּה נִשְׁבַּעְתָּ בַּֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לַֽאֲמָתֶךָ כִּֽי־שְׁלֹמֹה בְנֵךְ יִמְלֹךְ אַחֲרָי וְהוּא יֵשֵׁב עַל־כִּסְאִֽי׃

וַיֵּלֶךְ רֹכֵב הַסּוּס לִקְרָאתֹו וַיֹּאמֶר כֹּֽה־אָמַר הַמֶּלֶךְ הֲשָׁלֹום וַיֹּאמֶר יֵהוּא מַה־לְּךָ וּלְשָׁלֹום סֹב אֶֽל־אַחֲרָי וַיַּגֵּד הַצֹּפֶה לֵאמֹר בָּֽא־הַמַּלְאָךְ עַד־הֵם וְלֹֽא־שָֽׁב׃
