וַיֹּאמֶר אָבִיהָ אָמֹר אָמַרְתִּי כִּי־שָׂנֹא שְׂנֵאתָהּ וָאֶתְּנֶנָּה לְמֵרֵעֶךָ הֲלֹא אֲחֹתָהּ הַקְּטַנָּה טֹובָה מִמֶּנָּה תְּהִי־נָא לְךָ תַּחְתֶּֽיהָ׃

וְהִנֵּה אֶשְׁלַח אֶת־הַנַּעַר לֵךְ מְצָא אֶת־הַחִצִּים אִם־אָמֹר אֹמַר לַנַּעַר הִנֵּה הַחִצִּים מִמְּךָ וָהֵנָּה קָחֶנּוּ וָבֹאָה כִּֽי־שָׁלֹום לְךָ וְאֵין דָּבָר חַי־יְהוָֽה׃

הֶאָמֹר תֹּאמַר אֱלֹהִים אָנִי לִפְנֵי הֹֽרְגֶךָ וְאַתָּה אָדָם וְלֹא־אֵל בְּיַד מְחַלְלֶֽיךָ׃
