בְּנֵי יֶפֶת גֹּמֶר וּמָגֹוג וּמָדַי וְיָוָן וְתֻבָל וּמֶשֶׁךְ וְתִירָֽס׃ ס

וְהִשְׁתְּכַח בְּאַחְמְתָא בְּבִֽירְתָא דִּי בְּמָדַי מְדִינְתָּה מְגִלָּה חֲדָה וְכֵן־כְּתִיב בְּגַוַּהּ דִּכְרֹונָֽה׃ פ

בִּשְׁנַת שָׁלֹושׁ לְמָלְכֹו עָשָׂה מִשְׁתֶּה לְכָל־שָׂרָיו וַעֲבָדָיו חֵיל פָּרַס וּמָדַי הַֽפַּרְתְּמִים וְשָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינֹות לְפָנָֽיו׃

חָזוּת קָשָׁה הֻגַּד־לִי הַבֹּוגֵד בֹּוגֵד וְהַשֹּׁודֵד שֹׁודֵד עֲלִי עֵילָם צוּרִי מָדַי כָּל־אַנְחָתָה הִשְׁבַּֽתִּי׃

הָבֵרוּ הַחִצִּים מִלְאוּ הַשְּׁלָטִים הֵעִיר יְהוָה אֶת־רוּחַ מַלְכֵי מָדַי כִּֽי־עַל־בָּבֶל מְזִמָּתֹו לְהַשְׁחִיתָהּ כִּֽי־נִקְמַת יְהוָה הִיא נִקְמַת הֵיכָלֹֽו׃

פְּרֵס פְּרִיסַת מַלְכוּתָךְ וִיהִיבַת לְמָדַי וּפָרָֽס׃
