הֵם יָֽצְאוּ אֶת־הָעִיר לֹא הִרְחִיקוּ וְיֹוסֵף אָמַר לַֽאֲשֶׁר עַל־בֵּיתֹו קוּם רְדֹף אַחֲרֵי הָֽאֲנָשִׁים וְהִשַּׂגְתָּם וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם לָמָּה שִׁלַּמְתֶּם רָעָה תַּחַת טֹובָֽה׃

וַיָּשָׁב שָׁאוּל מִרְדֹף אַחֲרֵי דָוִד וַיֵּלֶךְ לִקְרַאת פְּלִשְׁתִּים עַל־כֵּן קָֽרְאוּ לַמָּקֹום הַהוּא סֶלַע הַֽמַּחְלְקֹֽות׃
