וְהָלַכְתִּי אַף־אֲנִי עִמָּכֶם בְּקֶרִי וְהִכֵּיתִי אֶתְכֶם גַּם־אָנִי שֶׁבַע עַל־חַטֹּאתֵיכֶֽם׃

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוּדָה לְשִׁמְעֹון אָחִיו עֲלֵה אִתִּי בְגֹורָלִי וְנִֽלָּחֲמָה בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִי וְהָלַכְתִּי גַם־אֲנִי אִתְּךָ בְּגֹורָלֶךָ וַיֵּלֶךְ אִתֹּו שִׁמְעֹֽון׃

וּרְאוּ וּדְעוּ מִכֹּל הַמַּֽחֲבֹאִים אֲשֶׁר יִתְחַבֵּא שָׁם וְשַׁבְתֶּם אֵלַי אֶל־נָכֹון וְהָלַכְתִּי אִתְּכֶם וְהָיָה אִם־יֶשְׁנֹו בָאָרֶץ וְחִפַּשְׂתִּי אֹתֹו בְּכֹל אַלְפֵי יְהוּדָֽה׃

וַיֹּאמֶר אִם־תֶּחֱזַק אֲרָם מִמֶּנִּי וְהָיִתָה לִּי לִֽישׁוּעָה וְאִם־בְּנֵי עַמֹּון יֶחֱזְקוּ מִמְּךָ וְהָלַכְתִּי לְהֹושִׁיעַֽ לָֽךְ׃
