וַיְהִי כֶּאֱמֹר יְהֹושֻׁעַ אֶל־הָעָם וְשִׁבְעָה הַכֹּהֲנִים נֹשְׂאִים שִׁבְעָה שֹׁופְרֹות הַיֹּֽובְלִים לִפְנֵי יְהוָה עָבְרוּ וְתָקְעוּ בַּשֹּֽׁופָרֹות וַֽאֲרֹון בְּרִית יְהוָה הֹלֵךְ אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃

וַיַּחַץ אֶת־שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאֹות הָאִישׁ שְׁלֹשָׁה רָאשִׁים וַיִּתֵּן שֹׁופָרֹות בְּיַד־כֻּלָּם וְכַדִּים רֵקִים וְלַפִּדִים בְּתֹוךְ הַכַּדִּֽים׃

וְעַתָּה קְחוּ וַעֲשׂוּ עֲגָלָה חֲדָשָׁה אֶחָת וּשְׁתֵּי פָרֹות עָלֹות אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָלָה עֲלֵיהֶם עֹל וַאֲסַרְתֶּם אֶת־הַפָּרֹות בָּעֲגָלָה וַהֲשֵׁיבֹתֶם בְּנֵיהֶם מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם הַבָּֽיְתָה׃
